Colt Tree Service LLC

     Colt Tree Service was established in March of 1999. Jason and Beth Coulter decided it was time to build a tree service business because Jason was well experienced in this area and they knew it would benefit their family in many ways.

Here's a little back ground on how it all started: Jason worked for about 5 yrs+ doing tree work for a couple different local tree services. He was hired on through the union in 1997 to clear power lines for Ameren UE in Jefferson City. In March of 1999 he started doing side jobs on the weekends. He named the business "Colt" because of a nickname he was given by friends/co-workers, (short for Coulter). It was short, "catchy", and has proved to be a good choice. Business grew quickly and he was able to go full-time with the business by November of 1999.

     In the first six years, Jason did all of the climbing himself and employed a couple of men to work the ground area. But the business just kept growing and we needed to make some changes to help that growth. We then purchased a bucket truck and hired a climber. This helped out tremendously. Jason was able to bid jobs without feeling so rushed or short on time, and was able to over see things better. Business has just grown each year since. We are proud and blessed to say that referrals are 60-70% of the business.

In 2007 Colt Tree Service became Colt Tree Service, LLC. Jason and Beth work together to make sure it is run properly, customers are satisfied and that this business is up to date on insurance, legal, and safety requirements.
